Elwood "Woody" R. Godfrey 89 of Deland FL went to be with the Lord on Saturday May 10 2008 at his residence. Born in Mt. Laurel NJ on March 13 1919 to John & Ella Godfrey Mr. Godfrey was a retired machinist from Brunswick Co. in Deland and a WWII Army Veteran. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing along with spending time at the beach with his miniature dachshund Heidi. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bertha Beach Godfrey in 2000. Survivors include his sons: E. Robert of Asheville NC John L. & his wife Ellen of Richburg SC and James T. of Rockport TX; his daughter Kathleen Godfrey McKain & her husband Ken of Deland; a brother Perry & his wife Doris of Ormond Beach; a sister Ruth Kuhn of Mt. Laurel NJ; seven grandchildren: Bridget John Wendy Nicole Belinda Scott & Trisha along with 12 great-grandchildren.
