Obituary

Elsie T. Card-Impson of Ormond Beach Florida was a real estate broker she moved to Daytona in 1950 with her first husband Clifford Card. They developed Clifton Park in Holly Hill also building other homes in the area. During her early career she was in civil service. She served in Tri State (Texas New Mexico and Oklahoma) in the recruiting and induction headquarters in Lubbock Texas. She then transferred to Garden City Kansas basic training airfield ending up as secretary to the commanding officer.
Locally she was a charter member of the Rivera Women's golf association a charter member and first president of the Blue Gavel Ladies association of the Halifax Yacht Club. she was also one of the four women who founded ""I.CARE" the children's advocacy center. She was a member of the Ormond Beach Moose Lodge and St. James Episcopal Church where she served on the guild. She was predeceased by her loving husband Col Ivan Impson in 1999. Survivors include her loving step daughters June Card of Munich Germany and Sandra Schussler La Mesa California sisters Loretta (Bugs) Bailey Ruth Ramseur and Grace Hughes Brownfield Texas her three brothers preceded her in death. Other living relatives: nephew Jerry Don Huckabee Fort Worth TX. Steven Tarpley Naples Florida nieces Joan Walton Boise City Idaho Linda Scholl Naples Florida Madie Ann Haney Alvin TX. Tammy Hill Houston TX. Step granddaughter Wanda June Hillsbery San Jose Ca. And step grandson Richard Schussler La Mesa Ca. Sister in law Laverne Tarpley Fort Worth TX sister in law Shirley Tarpley Grapevine TX. Locally nephew Rickie Impson and niece Mary Judy Hartwell (Gene) Fruitland Park Florida. Also celebrating her life her dear friend Rosalee Neill. Service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church 44 S. Halifax Drive Ormond Beach on Wednesday January 11th at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Shady Rest Cemetery Holly Hill FL. Funeral services are under direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach Florida. Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday January 10th between the hours of 5-7 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers donations to Children's Advocacy Center (I.CARE) or St. James Episcopal Church.
