Elsa Blackburn's Obituary
Mrs. Elsa Helen Blackburn 86 of Daytona Beach Shores passed away peacefully Saturday October 7 2006.
Mrs. Blackburn was born September 18 1920 in Sasketchewan Canada moving to Florida in 1972. Elsa received her R.N. from Montral General Hospital School of Nursing in 1942 and her B.A. in health education form New Jersey City State College in 1972. Serving as a nurse for many years she was able to teach hospital unit clerks and medical receptionists at Daytona Beach Community College and did so for 17 years. Her desire to teach inspired Elsa to published two books in the medical field to share her knowledge. She continued her gift of learning and teaching about medical issues throughout her life.
Elsa?s passion was music which she developed at an early age. As a piano teacher she shared this love with her own children and many others.
She is survived by her two daughters Catherine Romba Gerry of Denver CO and Elizabeth Blackburn John of Daytona Beach FL
