Eloise Brown

April 14, 1941 ~ September 9, 2021

On Thursday September 9, 2021 at Halifax Health Medical Center Daytona Beach, Florida Eloise West Brown age 80 peacefully went to her eternal rest.

Mrs. Eloise Brown  was born April 14, 1941 in Cumberland County, North Carolina to Gable King and Rosa West Pugh. In her formative years she attended schools in Harnett County, North Carolina and graduated from Shawtown High School. In 1960 she completed some college and held certifications in Private Branch Exchange and as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a devoted and loving wife to her high school sweetheart Robert Lee Brown Sr. On August 17, 1960,  they were married and settled in Daytona Beach Florida.  On August 17, 2021 they celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Mrs. Brown became a devout Christian and faithfully attended St. Paul Church of God By Faith for over 50 years. She held many positions in the church, including the president of the Missionary Board for many years. Mrs. Brown participated on a local, district, and national level of the church organization. She also assisted her husband in their FEED MY SHEEP Community Ministry Founded in 1994. Mrs. Brown was also a member of the Executive Board to the: GADSON MEMORIAL POST 204 & AUXILIARY AMERICAN LEGION DEPARTMENT OF FLORIDA and Senior Saints, Fountain of Youth. In addition to being active in the community, she enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, fishing and reading.

Eloise Brown was preceded in death by her parents: Gable King and Rosa West Pugh.  Siblings: Sylvester West, Rosa Jane Lewis, Lorraine West and  Mattie West and Granddaughter: Eloise Peacock.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her affectionate husband of 61 years Robert Lee Brown Sr.; Son Robert Lee Brown Jr. and her three daughters: Deborah Brown, Cheryl Brown Peacock, Robin Brown. Mrs. Eloise Brown is also survived by 5 Grandchildren,Debora Brown, Jason Benjamin (Keyna); Sharyl Blue; Marcus Peacock (Michelle); Alexander Brown; 7 Great Grandchildren -  Kingston Roberts, King Odom, Raven Peacock, Kani Petis, Preston Benjamin, Greyson Benjamin, and Jeyson Benjamin; and siblings Dorothy Bunkley, David Lee West (Allison), Wilbur West (Krissy), Clarista West, James West (Alice), Irene McDonald, Joyce Jackson, Fletcher West and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Commemoration Service of her life will be held on:

Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1:00pm at the EMMANUEL CHURCH of the LIVING GOD 54 South Ridgewood Avenue Ormond Beach, Florida 32174
