Elmer Rod Flanary 83 of Daytona Beach Florida,  passed away peacefully at home March 25th 2021.

Elmer was born January 15th 1938 in Kingsport Tennessee. The son of Ezra Bill Flanary and Mary Kate Stapleton.

Elmer married Sarah Ann Sisson  October 08, 1966 in Valdosta Georgia. Elmer and Sarah were happily married for 55 years.

Elmer was the owner of Bug Busters Exterminating company for 31 years. He retired in 2019.

Elmer especially enjoyed gardening, raising koi fish and a lover of all animals.

Elmer was a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona for 41 years

Elmer was a loving husband and father. He never met a stranger and was well known in the community. He was an avid donor to Halifax humane society And the homeless community.

Remaining to cherish Elmer's memory are his wife Sarah Flanary Elmer's children Glenda Flanary- Taylor, Vicki Mangold,  Sandy Hammond, Barbara Flanary, Toni Anderson, Elmer Rod Flanary Jr., Julia Flanary, Lisa Winters and Christi Bichay. Elmer's 12 children blessed him with 34 grandchildren who love and admire him. He was also given 91 beautiful great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Proceeding in death are 2 sons Ezra 'Billy' and Randy Flanary, a daughter Cathy Flanary, 4 grandchildren,  1 great grandchild and 1 great great grandchild.

Service will be held April 10th at 1:00 p.m. at Daytona Beach church of Christ 1040 Derbyshire Road Daytona Beach FL 32117.  Celebration of life to follow at LPGA  park.

Family is asking in lieu of flowers for donations to pay for Elmer's final expenses.
