A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Ellen Hood at 3:30pm on Saturday February 18 2012 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00pm til the service begins.
Ellen Mary Hood 72 of Palm Coast passed away on Wednesday February 15 2012 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast. She was born on June 18 1939 in Newark NJ to Edward and Estelle Murphy. She moved to this area in 2005 from New Jersey.
She loved to garden and loved the casinos.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years Donald whom she married on August 20 1975 ; three sons Danny Maloney of NJ Tommy Hood of FL and Michael Hood of CA; daughter Colleen Prout and her husband Michael of NJ; two grandchildren Ryan and Kerry Prout of NJ; two step-sons Donald Hood Jr. of FL and George Hood of NC; two step-daughters June Ginchereau of FL and Sheryl Tom of NC; many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A brother Edward Murphy of FL and a sister Maureen Denvir of FL;

She was preceded in death by her son Patrick Maloney in 2000.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to The American Cancer Society.
