Ellen Marie Berry, 61, of Ormond by the Sea, Florida passed away June 28, 2020 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Ellen was born in Baumholder, Germany on October 6, 1958 and was adopted by her late parents, John and Ann Schweiger.

Her dad was in the military and so the family lived in numerous  places before settling in Ormond by the Sea in the late 60's. Ellen married her high school sweetheart, Bryan Charles "Chuck" Berry in 1981 and they were married for 39 years.

Ellen was a big Gator and Jaguar football enthusiast. She loved animals and while living in Green Cove Springs, Florida, participated in the Catch, Neuter and Release Program for feral cats. Ellen loved NASCAR and local racing. She and her husband Chuck built and raced their own cars.

Ellen became friends with everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Christine Shay (Michael) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, niece, Annie Shay of Cheyenne, nephew, Kevin Shay of Tucson, Arizona, nieces, Jenn Teate, Jessica Duncan, Laura Stearn, Mellisa Banach, Beth Anthony, Amy Berry and nephew, David Berry, sisters-in-law, Rebecca Acree and Elizabeth Duncan and brother-in-law, David Berry.

A Celebration of Life for Ellen will be held at a future date. Memorial Contributions may be made in Ellen's  memory to;  AdventHealth Hospice. Arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach. Condolences for the family may be shared at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com .
