Obituary

ELLA LORRAINE MOLLOHAN MCMILLION ALLEN, age 99, was born in Birch River, West Virginia on December 10, 1921. She was the third daughter to Roy and Jessie (Barnes) Mollohan. She died on February 23, 2021 at the Riviera Senior Living Facility in Holly Hill, Florida.

Lorraine graduated from Nicholas County High School, Summersville, West Virginia and attended Glenville Teachers College, West Virginia.

She married Lundy McMillion on Dec 24, 1940. They had two children, Lundy Jr and Judy.

She taught school at Birch River, Silke, Persinger, and Bull Run, West Virginia. Lorraine left teaching to serve as the acting Postmaster while also running a restaurant and pool hall with her husband in Birch River.

The family later moved to Charmco, West Virginia where they had a restaurant and gas pumps. They then moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia where she worked as a manager at Sears.  She became a widow in 1980. On Oct 18, 1982 she married Albert Allen and they moved to Ormond by the Sea, Florida.

Lorraine enjoyed growing flowers and trees, walking, reading, and sewing. She also punched gorgeous pictures by needle and finished them with beautiful frames. Travel was another favorite past time; Lorraine and Al traveled to all 50 US states, Canada and Mexico.

Survivors of Lorraine are her son Lundy McMillion, Jr. and his wife Debra McMillion living in Ohio and her sister, Rose Marie Brown living in Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Judy McMillion; her first husband and Judy's father, Lundy McMillion; her second husband, Albert Allen; her sisters, Beulah Mae Mollohan Brown Neil and Edith Arlene Mollohan Frame; and her brother, Harold Eugene Mollohan.

Funeral services will be held at Lohman Funeral Home, 733 West Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, (386) 673-1100 on March 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM . Burial will be at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 @ 3PM.
