Elizabeth "Beth" A. Walker passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 29, 2014 in Ormond Beach, FL. She was born in Atlanta, GA on July 14, 1957 and raised in Jacksonville, FL. As a Registered Nurse, her love was emergency flight care and making a difference in peoples' lives in their time of need.
During her career, she was a flight nurse for the Life Flight operation at BaptistHealth in Jacksonville, FL, the Chief Flight Nurse for the TraumaOne operation of the University of Florida Health Jacksonville, and the Program Director for the Aeromed operation at Tampa General Hospital. Beth was blessed with creative gifts and talents that benefited all of her children's schools and organizations.
She is survived by her loving husband Cory T. Walker, daughter Brianna M. Walker, son Cornelius (CJ) T. Walker, Jr., mother Doris Q. Gill of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, her three sisters, Rebecca I. Shirley of Jacksonville, FL, Julia Q. Porter of Durrant, OK, Melody G. Davis of Seattle, WA and several nephews and nieces.
A private family memorial service to celebrate her life was held in Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church, Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church, 317 Mullallly Street, Daytona Beach, FL, 32114.
