Eleanor Troina, 74, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on November 26th, 2014. She was born in the Bronx, New York and raised by a foster family until she married. Eleanor raised three children in Brooklyn, then spent her last 24 years of life residing in Florida, where she lovingly lived with and cared for her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

Everyone who knew Eleanor loved her for being such a warm and kind person. She always put family first and others needs before hers. From Florida, Eleanor delighted in daily telephone conversations with her sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in New York. She kept in touch with extended family as well, always remembering birthdays and anniversaries. Eleanor was a great cook - known for her french fries in Brooklyn and her deviled eggs in Florida. Each day she cooked up great meals for the family, and was always willing to make someone a cup of hot tea.

Celebrating holidays was one of Eleanor's favorite things to do, and she collected Hallmark ornaments with zest. She also loved beach and Disney vacations. Movies, crossword puzzles and Elvis were also high on Eleanor's list of life's simple pleasures.

Survivors are Eleanor's daughter Paula, sons Tom and Michael, son-in-law Tim and daughter-in-law Aida. Additional survivors include Eleanor's grandchildren Tim and his girlfriend Macie, Amy, Christopher and Carissa, whom she took great joy in.

Eleanor bravely battled cancer for 8 years. She is a role model that will always be in our hearts. Visitation at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast is Friday December 5th from 6-8. The Service will be held at the same location on Saturday December 6th at 10:30.
