Elaine P. Smiley was born on March 24, 1961 in Brockton, MA to Mary Frances McFarland and Fred Leon Packard II. She moved from Whitman, MA to Florida in 1970. She met her husband, Johnny "Gene" E. Smiley, Sr. on August 16, 1975 and they married on April 4, 1979.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan Maul. She is survived by her husband; three children, Monica (Irvin) Rose Bletcher, Amanda (Michael) Marie Jacobs, and Johnny Eugene Smiley II; siblings Mary Coulsey, Fred Leon Packard III, Dorothy Peron, James (Pat) Edward Packard, and Elizabeth (Jay) A. Aquaviva; ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and a host of family and friends.

Elaine entered into rest on July 28, 2021. She will be missed and loved forever.

Visitation for Elaine will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Lohman Funeral Home DeLand. Graveside service will be on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Lake Helen-Cassadaga Cemetery.
