Elaine Long, AKA., Elaine Long Ellis, was born on April 10,1932 in Dover, New Jersey, and died peacefully in Port Orange, Florida on December 26, 2024.  She was preceded in death by Howard Long, Sr. and James F. Ellis and Andrew Sekulski.  Survived by her four children,  Howard A.  Long, Jr., (Laurie), Christine A. Sekulski, Anne M. Eichas (Richard) and Timothy E. Long (Victoria), Eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Elaine was a proud graduate of St. Jerome's School of Nursing in Batavia, New York. Her passion in life however was devoting herself to caring for all of her family and friends. She spent the majority of her 50-year career dedicated to geriatric nursing, both as a floor nurse and in leadership positions. She loved the Eagles and Elks clubs, and spending time with family and friends. All will remember her for her quick wit and spunk and will be she will be deeply missed by those who have known and loved her.

A Celebration of her life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 8th , 2025 at 11:00am at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona,1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL  32114.
