Mrs. Eileen Wigle Tibbetts age 100 peacefully passed into the presence of Jesus on January 29 2013. Eileen was born in Detroit Michigan on January 9 1913to Harold and Mildred Gracey. She was predeceased by two brothers Hugh and Clifford Gracey. Eileen has one remaining sister Ruthie Rabley now living in Columbia S.C. Eileen was married for 35 years to Newton Wigle who passed away in 1969. Eileen a few years later married Kenneth Tibbetts and was married for 25 years until his death in 1996. Eileen had three children Clifford Wigle (Mexico) Mildred Hafer (Mountain Home Arkansas) and Keith Wigle (Port Orange). Eileen had 10 grandchildren Laura Hilsenbeck Jim Wigle Jean MacMichael Elizabeth Wigle Dwayne Wigle Dean Wigle William Hafer Mathew Hafer David Hafer and Joy Crawford. Eileen had 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Eileen moved from Michigan to Florida in 1953. She worked for Sears store when it was on Beach Street in Daytona. Eileen was a very good portrait artist and a long time member of Volusia Art League. She became an excellent artist even though she did not start until age 62. She loved her friends at church and most of all her family. She faced life with courage kindness and humor. We will always be inspired by the kind way she loved others. We are grateful for the wonderful care she received from Hospice and friends who helped. Her son Keith is grateful for his loving wife Barbara who loved Eileen and helped care for her for many years. We are all recipients of God's mercy and grace sustaining us through the hard times and the good times of which there were many more. A memorial service will be held on Monday February 4 2013 at 11:00 A.M at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Ave Daytona Beach FL.
