IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Efrain "Guimar"
Garcia, Jr.
July 14, 1976 – September 16, 2025
Efrain "Guimar" Garcia, Jr., 49, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1976, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to his loving parents Rosalina Rodriguez and Efrain Garcia Sr.
Efrain graduated from Woodburn High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Administration from the University of Phoenix. Efrain served many community members throughout his career starting in Oregon and most recently with the Volusia County Sheriff's Department.
Guimar was a hardworking man, dedicated to both family and service to the community. He had a larger-than-life personality with the ability to make you feel immediately welcome. He devoted his time to coaching basketball as well as spending quality time with his family and those he loved including foster children placed in his care. He was always willing to help and support those around him and had a willingness to do just about anything to make you smile and laugh. He enjoyed time at the beach with his family and had a huge passion for sports, especially the Mets and Ducks. Aside from his love for his family he loved and was very proud to be Puerto Rican.
Efrain met the love of his life at a very young age and built a family founded in that love and faith, he is survived by his loving wife, Diana Bejarano Garcia, loving father to Bianca Garcia McKay (Nick), Efrain Garcia, III, and Mikey Garcia; father, Efrain Garcia, Sr. and stepmother Nilsa Serrano, sister, Yubetsy Garcia Alverez (Jose); and cherished grandfather to Alexandra, Victoria, Romero, Catalina, and Camila. He was loved by many brother and sister in laws as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosalina Rodriguez.
Efrain will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, during this time we ask for your prayers for his family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to Diana Garcia.
