Edwin T. Deady 85 of Port Orange passed away March 4th 2011.
The family will receive friends on Thursday March 10 2011 from 11-12 with a funeral service at12:00pm at Cardwell Funeral Home 3571 S Ridgewood Ave. Burial to follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Eddie was born on August 6th 1925 in New York City NY to Lucille Zonfrillo Deady and Thomas E. Deady. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and served in the Military Police in Korea during the Korean War. In 1977 after 20 years working for the Parks and Recreation Department in Queens NY he retired and moved to Daytona Beach to assist his aging parents. He was a member
of the American Legion VFW and Daytona Beach Shores Eagles Club. Eddie was an avid reader enjoyed studying astronomy and was a fan of the New York Jets and Mets. He was loved by his family and friends for his sense of humor caring and generous disposition. He will be greatly missed by all.
