Obituary

Edward J. White of Pelican Bay Daytona Beach passed away quietly on Friday January 23 2009. A Funeral Service in his honor will be held Wednesday January 28 2009; 1:00 PM At the Baggett and Summers Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Homes 736 S. Beach St. Daytona Beach. Followed by an interment and military honors at Daytona Memorial Park. A visitation will be held Tuesday 1/27/09 from 5-7PM.
Mr. White was born in Elizabeth New Jersey and was a WWII veteran of the US Navy. He dedicated his life as a Police Lieutenant Swat Team member and Acting Captain of Detectives for the protection of the citizens of Washington DC. He was a proud member of The Association of Retired Metropolitan Police Officers Washington D.C. the Daytona and Port Orange Order of Elks Daytona Moose Lodge the Daytona Disable American Veterans Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Daytona. Edward had a passion for his family especially his wife. They met at police headquarters where they both worked and enjoyed a 41 year adventure exploring the world together. He was an avid reader and dancer and brought much joy to the people around him with his entertaining talent and comedic ways. Mr. White touched many lives in many different ways appreciated life had no enemies and "Did it All". He leaves behind to cherish his memory his broken hearted wife Regina White a son Kerry White and his wife Sarah a son-in-law Jerry Wolford 2 brothers Thomas and Robert White 6 grandchildren: Jennifer and Sean White Michael Charles Susan and Candice Wolford 3 great grandchildren; Maya Adam and Noah and 10 nieces and nephews. His loving daughter Nancy Wolford and a sister; Elizabeth Biddulph preceded him in death.
