Funeral Mass for Edward F. Ward age 71 who passed away June 8 2004 in Ormond Beach FL will be Saturday June 12th at 10:00 am at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church. Family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 7:00 pm-9:00 pm on Friday June 11th at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church in Ormond Beach.

Mr. Ward was born in Jersey City New Jersey on April 30 1933.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Mr. Ward was a retired Battalion Chief for the Jersey City Fire Department. During his 28 years of service he was decorated Fireman of the Year and received numerous awards for acts of bravery and heroism.

He was a member of Cursillo at Prince of Peace Catholic Church FR Eamon Gill Knights of Columbus of St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church and 4th degree K of C Corpus Chisti Flagler Beach.

He is survived by his wife Carol Kay of 51 years daughters Colleen Baird of Atlanta GA and Maureen Radwanski and son-in-law Thomas of Brick NJ son Mark Ward of Charlotte NC 4 grandchildren Kaitlyn and Meredith Radwanski and Devin and Matthew Baird his sister Ann O?Leary and husband Daniel of Leesburg FL and his brother Charles Ward and wife Janet of Pembrook Pines FL.

A Trust fund in his memory has been established to sponsor the children at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church K of C 13018 P.O. Box 2507 Ormond Beach FL 32175.
