Edward Theodore Rulka, 76, of Gainesville and recently of Ormond Beach, passed away Sunday, November 11.  A memorial mass will be held in his honor at 11:00am on Saturday, November 17 at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach. Afterwards, we will have a "Celebration of Life" at the home of his son, ET, in Ormond Beach.

Edward was born in Derby, Connecticut and grew up in the Bridgeport/New Haven area. He graduated from Stratford High School and the University of New Haven. He served in the United States Army Reserves and had a distinguished career as a senior administrator in the defense contracting industry, from which he retired in 1997.

In addition to being a loving husband and father, Edward will be remembered for being an avid golfer and a die-hard Red Sox fan.

Edward will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Paula; his son, ET; and his grandchildren, Savannah and Erik.
