Edward Gerald Riccardi, 81, loving stepfather and grandfather, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021. He was born May 10, 1940 in Detroit, MI to Louis Riccardi and Aida Cangiano Riccardi.

He was known by his friends and family affectionately as "Ed" or "Eddie". Ed received his BS from New York University and his JD from Michigan State University. He resided and worked primarily in the Hollywood South Florida areas.

Ed married Sharon Moffatt Alfonso in 2001, with whom he lived in DeLand, FL until 2009. He was a devout Catholic and was very involved with church services. He had a wonderful heart and a sharp mind. He enjoyed living life to its fullest.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, his brother Bernard, and his parents. He is survived by his stepdaughters Kathryn Alfonso Hannon and Kelly M. Bishop; his five grandchildren, Curtis, Thomas, Mickenzie, Kayla, and Lestat; his great-grandchild Aerith; his cousins Salvatore and Gail Cangiano; and his sister-in-law Carole Shellhorse.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 359 W. New York Ave., DeLand, FL. The family will hold a viewing Lohman Funeral Home, 935 E. New York Ave, from 10am to noon preceding the Mass.
