Edward Francis Ogrysko, born on September 2, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, died peacefully at home on July 12, 2022.
After graduating from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, Ed served our country in the 3rd battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine division as a Lance Corporal Rifleman and served in the Vietnam War. After his service, Ed worked for 31 years as an Ironworker under Baltimore Local #16 until his retirement in 2000. He worked on many notable projects, such as the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, National Aquarium, and the World Trade Center in Baltimore. Ed resided in DeLand, FL for the last 15 years. Throughout his life, Ed enjoyed golfing, going to the beach, landscaping and helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents Patricia (Richardson) and Stanley Ogrysko. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Fay (Orr) Ogrysko, daughter Julie (Ogrysko) LaMotte and son in law Rusty LaMotte; grandchildren Peyton and Parker; stepson Matt Quintal; grandchildren Meagan, Joshua, Jessika, Matthew and Tommy. Also survived by his siblings, Michael (Pat) Ogrysko; Mark (Sandy) Ogrysko; Jeanne (Bernie Sampson) Ogrysko; Steven (Nancy) Ogrysko, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
