Funeral Mass for Edward McCloskey age 79 who passed away November 29th 2005 in Ormond Beach will be Friday December 9th 2005 at 11:00am at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father William Neamann officiating. Inurnment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Ed was born on February 5 1926 to John and Cordellia McCloskey in Derby Connecticut. He attended local schools and the Paier School of Art in New Haven.
Mr. McCloskey was the owner of the Mall Spirit in Chapel Square New Haven and retired in 1984 and moved to Florida. Ed was an active member and Tennis player at the Racquet Club on Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach. He enjoyed traveling gardening and photography. He is survived by his wife Helen of 58 years his sister Doris Papp of Stratford CT and sister in law Esther McCloskey 4 nephews Jack and Bill Papp of Stratford CT Dr. Gerald McCloskey of CT Shaun McCloskey of NC 2 nieces Mrs. Karol McCloskey Russell of Marietta GA and Bobbie-Jean McCloskey Siebold of St. Petersburg.
