A Funeral Service for Edward M. Boatswain Jr 76 who entered into heaven peacefully from his home on Tuesday March 4 2008 will be held at 11:00am Monday March 10 2008 at the Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church 101 Pine Lakes Parkway Palm Coast FL with the family receiving friends from 10:00am to 11:00am Monday at the church. He was born on July 29 1931 in Yonkers NY to Edward M. Boatswain Sr. and Nellie Hunter Boatswain and was a former resident of Yonkers. He served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne from 1950 to 1953. He worked at the General Motors Plant in Tarrytown NY until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife Eunice in 1996 and is survived by his son Edward M. Boatswain III; his daughters: Rhonda Harris and Liana Brooks; his stepchildren Gregory Reid & Evette Reid; his sister Adele Boatswain Kwaw; his companion Celia Powe; a host of grandchildren and one great grandchild.
