A Memorial Service for Edward O. Appel who passed away Monday January 15 2007 at Florida Hospital-Ormond will be held at 2:00pm Thursday January 18 2007 at Lohman Funeral Home-Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd Ormond Beach FL 32174. A native of Baltimore MD Mr. Appel moved to Ormond Beach in 1997 after retiring as a Deputy Sheriff for the City of Baltimore. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church the American Legion Post #267 the Moose Lodge #1263 of Daytona Beach and the Elks B.P.O. & E. Lodge #2193. He enjoyed sports and karaoke. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Rita V. of Ormond Beach; his daughters: Kathryn (John) Oakes Donna Deans & Denise (Stephen) Lesniewski all of Baltimore MD; a son Edward W. of Baltimore MD; eight granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.
