Edna Lee Witherington, 97 of Daytona Beach passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014. She was born on October 31, 1917 in Daytona Beach to M.H. and Mae Lee. Edna enjoyed reading, word puzzles, and crocheting. She was a volunteer at the Florida Museum of History in Tallahassee, Florida. She also volunteered at the Volusia Public Library, and teaching adults to read. She was a member of the Daytona Historical Society. Edna retired from the Florida Department of Transportation in 1985 as an Administrative Assistant to the General Counsel. She is survived by her daughter Lee W. Long; brother Robert E. Lee and daughter-in-law Jean Witherington. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 12:00 at Greenwood Cemetery in Daytona. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Chapel, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL.
