Edna Jane Smith "Jane" 81 passed away at her home on February 14 2012. A visitation in her honor will be held on Friday February 24 2012 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Lohman Funeral Home on 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach. A funeral service with Reverend Larry G. Deitch officiating will be held on Saturday Feb. 25 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona with a burial service to follow across the street at Daytona Memorial Park. Reception to follow immediately after at Friendship Hall at her beloved Drive in Christian Church at 3140 S. Atlantic Ave. Daytona Beach Shores. Jane was married to the late John T. Smith Sr. Mr. Smith was in the Air Force and for 13 beautiful years she traveled the country and overseas with him. She was the beloved mother of five children: the late John Tyndall Smith Jr. Larry (Carole) Smith Donna (Ridgeley) Stewart Linda (Craig) Cookney and Tricia (Danny) O'Cain. Grandchildren: Angie and Tiffany Smith Janie Amanda Amy and Ridge Stewart Shawn and Shane Cookney Danny and Johnny O'Cain. Great grandchildren: Kaley and Brandon Smith. Sisters: Betty Newsom and Mary Lawson. She also loved and missed her faithful dog King. Jane's family brought her great joy! She was an excellent cook most known for the huge batches of chicken soup which she made for her children and grandchildren. She loved sports and music. We can still hear her cheering at the baseball basketball football games and humming at the orchestra and band performances. She was also a retired Realtor with Volusia Realty Associates. Jane believed in Jesus Christ as her savior and faithfully worshiped in the wide open spaces of the Daytona Beach Drive In Christian Church. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
