Edmond R. Cavalli went to be with our Lord and Savior on June 18th.. He was a decorated WWII Veteran from Carney NJ that was shot down on his 15th mission as a gunner on a B-24 ""The Boxcar"". A POW for 13 months in Stalag Luft IV and was forced on the 68 day march by the Germans who were retreating from the Russians. On his return home he said he never wanted to be cold again and moved to Miami Fl. There he met his wife of almost 60 years Mary Cavalli. They started out running concessions on beautiful Miami Beach for almost 8 years times were good after the war. They got their Real Estate License and started ""Mr. Ed's Realty"" in Hollywood Fl.. Ed's love for the beach never left him after he retired he spent many an hour walking the beaches that he loved. He was a loving husband devoted father and an adoring Grandfather. A man of integrity honesty but most importantly love and compassion. Affectionately called ""Gramps"" by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of POW Chapter 17 and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He has left behind his wife Mary Cavalli Daughter Toni Hall Granddaughters Terri Headley Angel Darling and Patti Goolsby and Grandsons Anthony and John Nanocchio Also 9 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed. There will be a private service for the family and friends July 13 2008 at Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church.
