Edith E. Stein 88 passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 18 2010. A memorial service in her honor will be held on Wednesday August 25 2010 at 12:30 pm at the Westminster By-The-Sea Church at 3221 South Peninsula Drive Daytona Beach FL.

Edith the daughter of George H. and Florence Lamont Hallenbeck was born and raised in Brooklyn NY where she met her husband Thomas E. Stein Jr. They met because of a dropped turkey on the floor in the mess hall during Thanksgiving of 1941. Edith was passionate about music and singing in the choir adored traveling anywhere enjoyed sewing and crocheting and loved bowling reading books and walking. She also enjoyed watching the space shuttle launches from her back porch. Edith was preceded in death by her loving husband and her son George H. Stein. Left to cherish their memories together are her children Arlene Sellers of Lake Mary FL Linda Hoyt of Tewksbury MA and Thomas E. Stein III and his wife Loretta of Bertrand MO; her grandchildren Brett Sellers and his wife Laura of Sanford FL Paul Hoyt of Stoneham MA Suzanne Paulding and her husband Geoff of Tewksbury MA and Emily Stein of North Hampton MA and her mother Leslie; her great-grandchildren Brenna Tyler Talia Zara Madison and Fia; and of course Suki.
