Funeral service for Mrs Edith Susan Gainey 94 of Port Orange will be on Friday July 18 at 100 pm in the Church of Christ 850 Beville Rd officiated by Minister Raymond Sieg. Her family will receive friends in the church from 1200 Noon till time of service. Interment will follow in Daytona Memorial Park. Mrs Gainey passed away Sunday July 13 at her home. She was an active member of the Church of Christ. Her church and her family were her top priorities. She also enjoyed gardening card games and sewing.
Mother of the late Ronald I Gainey she is survived by her 6 children: James L. Jr. of Port Orange Ann Camilli of Thomasville NC Ruth E. Dormire of Eustis Patsy Dunkin of Ormond Beach Glenda Oppenheim of Port Orange and Philip E. of Ormond Beach. Edith is also survived by 12 cherished grandchildren: Gina Huffman Pam Bowman Kim Crossland Donald Dormire Rhonda White Michelle Sorrells Laura Hansard Jason Gainey Heather Wright Nicholas Camilli Thomas McKenney and Ashley Oppenheim. Also surviving are 9 adorable great grandchildren: Justin Alexandra Parker Kendal Ethan Caleb Kaitlyn Gavin and Casey.
