Eddie Van Slyke
1948 - 2006

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Eddie Van Slyke will be held at 6 PM on Thursday April 27 2006 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
Eddie was born in Cheverly Maryland on February 6 1948 to Guy E. & Phyllis O. Van Slyke. He grew up in Maryland and spent some time in the military that allowed him to visit many areas including Florida. He later moved to Flagler County in 1989 from Bowie MD. Eddie loved being near the water and worked as a marine mechanic. He began his mobile marine business in 1997 which grew over the years and became what ?Sea Note Marine? is today. Eddie was also a very popular local musician and singer/songwriter. On his own and as part of the group ?Van Slyke & Arnold? Eddie shared his gifts with and entertained many people over the years. He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful & loving husband father & grandfather and by all for his sense of humor his dedication integrity and his perfectionism.
Left to cherish their memories of Eddie are his loving wife of 11 years Peggy his ?Pegs?; his daughters Krista Tomlinson of Texas and Carrie Harlow of Sebring FL; step-daughter Heather Colombo of Palm Coast; his sisters Paula Farmer of Bowie MD Pamela Fine currently in China and Priscilla Duncan of Albuquerque N.M.; brother Jamie Edwards of Maryland step-father Paul Edwards of Middletown CT and 8 loving grandchildren.
