Earnest Ray Endicott "Captain Ernie", 71, of Port Orange, Florida, went to his eternal home on March 4, 2014. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5:00 P.M to 6:30 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL. A funeral service will begin at 6:30 P.M. Born at Fort Gay, West Virginia on November 23, 1942, he passed from the world after a long illness. He was preceded in death by many beloved family members including: his father, Sherman Endicott, his mother, Magdalene Fluty Endicott, his brother, Charles Endicott, his sister, Juanita Endicott, as well as his niece, Dawn Endicott and nephew, Rick Endicott. Earnest is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Maxine Holt Endicott, his sons, Earnest Ray Endicott, Jr. and Christopher Michael Endicott (Lori), and his step daughter, Angela R. Schmidt and brother, Jene (Nancy) Endicott. Also surviving Earnest are his 6 cherished grandchildren, Joey Schmidt, Jaylon Endicott, Justine Endicott, Audbree Maxine, Emma Raya Endicott, and Ashlyn Chris Endicott. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Earnest's name to the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
