E. "Happy" MacMichael, 85 of Ormond Beach passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Avenue, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174.

Happy was born on March, 2, 1929 in Grindstone, Pennsylvania to the late Willard H. Blair and Lelah H. Coleman- Blair. Following high school, Happy went to work for West Penn Power Company. Future plans led Mr. and Mrs. MacMichael to the Ormond Beach area in 1956 from Brownsville, Pennsylvania. Happy worked locally at Florida Power & Light for 18 years retiring in 1975. After leaving FPL, she worked as a secretary for her husband's plumbing company, Ace Plumbing. In her later years, Happy worked at Chick-Fil-A where she was known to keep a prayer list for all of her customers.

She was a devoted member of Tomoka Christian Church for over twenty years. Happy had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing.She also enjoyed fishing, and spending time with her family.

Happy is preceded in death by her father, Willard H. Blair; mother, Lelah H. Coleman- Blair; son, Kim MacMichael; brothers in law, Harley MacMichael; and John Butz.

She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Kenneth C. MacMichael Jr.; sister, Jean Butz; daughter, Kena Van Patten (Dallas); grandchildren, Yancy Van Patten (Kelly Fry), Tyler Van Patten, Whitney Van Patten (August Wenger), Daina Van Patten (Joe Akialis); great grandchildren, Wolfgang Wenger, Adeline Van Patten; nephew, Jeff Butz; sister in law, Lois MacMichael.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation can be made in Happy's memory to Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Avenue, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
