Dwight, also known as "Cee-Born", was born on December 24, 1959, to Tommie Sue Curry and Francis Payton Johnson in East Meadow, NY along with his six siblings where he attended the Roosevelt School District. Later in his life, Dwight was blessed to discover he had seven additional siblings. Although he grew up in Long Island, he relocated to Flushing NY. He spent the later part of his life traveling between Far Rockaway NY and Deltona Florida.
Dwight worked as a Supervisor for Oceanside Laundry for many years. Through that employment, is where he met the love of his life, Abigail. After six months of courtship, they married in July of 2000. Prior to his marriage to Abby, he had two beautiful daughters, Yoseva Garcia and Melissa Curry. Abigail also had two children, Les and Leila from her previous marriage.
In 1987, Dwight enlisted into the United States Army. Where he would serve four years on active duty followed by four years in the Army Reserves from 1991-1995. Dwight served in the Gulf War in Combat Infantry. Although Dwight wore many hats, ranging from Army/Gulf War Veteran, Laundry Supervisor, NYC Street Vendor, Vice President of a Condo Board (Water's Edge) in Far Rockaway as well as Volunteer for the Make a Wish Foundation. The hats he wore most proudly were those of Husband and Father. His favorite hobbies include Reading about History, listening to music, anything athletic, Martial Arts (2Degree Black Belt) and his love of chess.
Dwight loved and believed in his Family. His desire was to always unite and build together. When it came to love, he had more than enough to give for all his family and friends. His hopes are that when his Earthly life is over, those that he leaves behind will keep moving on to accomplish the goals and aspirations they would like to achieve. This journey was only temporary with better things ahead.
Along with is Loving wife, Dwight leaves behind to continue his Legacy, his beloved children; Yoseva Garcia, Melissa Curry, Stephanie Sawyer, Lester Clark III, Leila Clark, Jonathan and Corey Thomas. His Beloved Grandchildren; Sincere Cox, Iziah McEachern, Zaire McEachern, Imani McEachern, Adrian Garcia, Sarai Garcia, Nyla Curry, Julian Steel, Malik Garcia, India Sowerby, Josiah Steel, Chaim Harris, Annorah Steel, Yelisia A Thomas, Havana Thomas, and Sophia Sawyer. Loving Siblings; Annie Curry, Lynette Curry, Francis Payton Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Larence Johnson and Thomas Johnson, Grace Clarke and Faye Clarke. His Father and Mother-in-Law Ray and Mary Nelson. Sister-in-Laws Teresa Curry and Monique Hinkson, brother & sister in-law Todd & Lois Williams, and Ray & Mel Nelson. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Dear Friends, and other Loved Ones.
He was greeted at Heaven's Gates by his Beloved Parents Tommie Sue Curry and Francis Payton Johnson. Brothers; Monze Curry, Victor Curry, Ernest Curry, Leslie Turner Jr, Anton Howard Johnson, Dwite Johnson. Sister Belinda Johnson
