Doug Moody;
Walter Douglas Moody 79 of Daytona Beach FL passed away at Halifax Hospital Daytona Beach on April 25 2011. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Monday May 2nd at 2:00 pm at Brevard Memorial Park Cocoa Florida. Doug was born in Columbia S. Carolina and graduated from University High School. He went on to receive a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from the University of S. Carolina a MSME in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a MBA from the University of Central Florida. Doug retired as a Lt. Col. From the United States Air Force and went on to work for NASA. Once he retired from NASA he went on to work for Aerospace companies affiliated with NASA; Rockwell International Lockheed and retired from United Space Alliance. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Moody sons Walter Douglas Jr. and Philip Thomas; granddaughter Christa and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son James Coates.
