Dorothy J. Roberson 77 went home to be with the Lord Thursday November 25 2010 in Daytona Beach FL. She was born August 15 1933 to Henry and Gracie Lyons. Dorothy graduated from Mainland High School and later worked in the banking and Insurance industry. She loved to shop fish sing sew travel church camping and most of all she loved her family. Dorothy was a faithful member of Daytona Beach Church of Christ since she was 16 years old. Visitation for Ms. Roberson will be Tuesday November 30 2010 at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home Chapel at 9:30 am. Funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30am. Interment will be at Bushnell Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memory; four sons: Dennis (Kathy) Gainey Doug Gainey Bryan (Joyce) Gainey and Tony (Amelia) Roberson; three daughters: Cheryl Gainey Linda (Bob) Sell Terri (Mike) Tippins; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband William Roberson one son Ernie Jr and one daughter Linda Gainey. She also leaves one special companion Rod Malphurs. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association . A special thank you from the family to Hospice of America.
