IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy T.
Nardandrea
January 9, 1928 – June 4, 2025
Dorothy T Nardandrea passed away on June 4, 2025. A native of Manhattan, New York, Dorothy was born on January 9, 1928. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, John P. Nardandrea. Dorothy worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and was very proud of her position. After she left Washington, she lived in Maryland and New Jersey. Dorothy came to Florida from Pennsauken, New Jersey in 1970 and lived in Ormond Beach. She worked alongside her husband John in their shop, John's Custom Tailoring and later with her son Michael at Mike's Tailoring, until her retirement. She worked as a substitute teacher for Volusia County Schools. Dorothy was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and shared her many talents through various ministries. Dorothy was in her 60's when she decided to return to college to get her degree.
Dorothy had an amazing sense of humor. She was quick with a comeback in any situation and instilled a love of "puns" with her family. Dorothy loved to read and write, often writing stories that reflected some of her funny life experiences. She would never be without a book and in her later years she used her iPad to continue her love of literature.
Dorothy was a devoted, giving, kind and loving, mother to her 4 children, Donna Sciarretto (Anthony), John (Suwannee), Michael (Marianne) and Sharon (Greg). She has 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She cherished the time spent with family, especially her many great grandchildren and loved to share stories of their lives and adventures! Dorothy made everyone feel special, listened to what they had to say, treated everyone as a friend and never said an unkind word about anyone
Dorothy will be laid to rest alongside her husband John, on August 1,2025 at Jacksonville National Cemetary, Jacksonville, Florida.
