Dorothy Allen Jackson, 88, formerly of Port Orange, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 23,2014 following a short illness . A visitation will be held at the LOHMAN FUNERAL HOME PORT ORANGE on Friday, September 26, 2014, from 3:00pm -4:00pm with a service starting at 4:00pm. Burial will be on Monday at Jacksonville National Cemetery.

Born on May 22, 1926 to Clyde and Halden Allen , Dorothy went to Riverside Boookfield High School and then went to Nursing School , becoming an RN.. While in High School she met Robert Jackson and was married for 65 years until Robert predeceased her in January of this year. She joined with her husband in a Christian ministry that lasted 30 years.

Dorothy is survived by her sister Joan Harpring, and niece Susan Faulkner. Also three loving children & their spouses: Robert III (Della), Barbara (Michael), James (Candy), Grandchildren & their spouses: Steven (Jenn), Aimee (Jason), Jessie, & Christopher. Great grandchildren: Marlin, Brody, Kallie, Michael, & Alycia.
