Dorothy W. High 92 of Daytona Beach passed away Saturday Jan.3 2009. Dr. Austin Brinkerhoff Interim Pastor of First Presbyterian Church Daytona Beach will officiate at a Memorial Service at the Terrace Daytona Beach on Wednesday January 21 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Born in Paw Paw Illinois she and her family moved to the Daytona area in 1928. She was Miss Mainland High of 1933. She moved to New York in the late 1930's where she met and married her late husband Edward Haase with whom she owned and operated a bowling establishment. She returned to the Daytona area in 1972. She was a member of Palmetto Club of Daytona and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Daytona Beach. She moved into the Terrace Assisted Living apartment in 2002 and had been active at the Terrace ever since. Pre-deceased by husband C. Carroll High she is survived by sons Edward (Judith) Haase of Ormond beach and Ronald (Rosemarie) Haase of Garden City N.Y. daughter Dorothy Bassett of Deerfield Beach brother William (Evelyn) Wandelt nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
