Obituary

Dororhy A. Dytkowski loving wife of Robert J. Dytkowski Sr. passed away on May 19, 2017. She was born in Buffalo, New York on November 11th, 1941 the daughter of the late Walter Zawisa and Dorothy Hastie Zawisa. She was the only girl in a family of 4 boys. She was given the responsibility to take care of her 4 brothers by cooking, cleaning and other maternal tasks.
She was married to Robert J. Dytkowski, Sr. on January 14, 1961 at St. Valentine R.C. Church in Buffalo, N.Y.
They moved to Ormond by the Sea in 1968 with their son Robert J. Dytkowski II who was born on April 21st, 1967 in Lackawanna N.Y. His Sister Tricia A. Dytkowski was born on January 21st, 1973 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Dorothy was active in her community as a member of Saint John Neumann Columbiettes Council 5971 in Plantation, Fl. holding every office including President for two years. She also was a member of the Ormond Beach Jayceettes and was President of the Organization, and was awarded Jayceette of the year twice.
She is a grandmother of five girls, three from her Son Robert Jr. Kylie, Taylor and Ashley and two from her daughter Tricia A. Dytkowski Usab, Victoria and Riley.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Robert J. Dytkowski, Sr., her son Robert J. Dytkowski Jr. from Port Orange Fl. and her daughter Tricia Dytkowski Usab from Spokane WA. She also has two brothers, Stephen Zawisa from Fredericksburg VA, and Michael Zawisa from New Port Richey Fl.
Viewing for family and friend's will be on Thursday June 1st from 5pm until 7:00pm at the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange, including a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Reverend Christopher Hoffman at 10:00 AM on Friday June 2nd, from Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange. Entombment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park in the Heavenly section.
