Dorothy Ostroff Bowles passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on the 24th of May 2014. Born 1931 in Chelsea, MA, she has been a resident of Florida for over 70 years, 63 of which were with her husband Eugene F. Bowles. Dorothy loved her arts and spent 20 years as a member of the Palette and Brush Club. She served 3 years as president and was instrumental in arranging various art shows and displays in many of the surrounding communities. She enjoyed gardening and loved her birds that came to eat year round.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her best friend Beau' her Labrador retriever and sister Pauline Moss. She is survived by her Husband Eugene F. Bowles, her sister Shirley Berquist, daughters Karen Bowles Allen (Ross), Regina Bowles Blankenship (Kent) and Catherine Bowles Smith (Emory), 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday May 30, 2014 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, located at 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL.
