Dorothy Z Baldwin, cherished and beloved wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, graduated to her heavenly home on May 3, 2022, at the young age of 99.

Dorothy was born in Frederick, Maryland on April 17, 1923, and grew up in Hyattsville, Maryland. She met her beloved husband Bernard L. Baldwin and married 6 months later, on Oct 19, 1943.

They raised a family in Silver Spring, Maryland, with a summer place at Green Point, near Cambridge, Maryland. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking, but mostly enjoyed being with her family!

Upon Bernard's retirement in 1975, they moved to the eastern shore of Maryland, where Dorothy took up golf, just to be with him. In 1993, they moved to Florida for the remainder of their lives. Their marriage lasted 68 years, until Bernard passed away on July 29, 2011.

Dorothy is survived by her son Gerry (Susie); daughter Peggy; grandchildren Bryan (Matt); Laurie (Andy); Michael (Kelly); Bailey (Sam); and Mike L (Angela). Also, 4 great-grandchildren: Wiley, Stella, Vivienne, and Leroy.

She was an amazing woman who enjoyed life, and loved her family so much. She was so, so sweet, and she will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 24th at Hunters Ridge Country Club at 11am.
