Doris V.  Tucker, 95, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on December 12, 2021 at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.  She was born on March 18, 1926 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to the late James and Susan Babcock.  Doris was employed for numerous years as an insurance clerk for SunLife Assurance Company in Massachusetts. She was a longtime resident of Natick, Mass., before moving to Florida 22 years ago.

Survivors include her daughter, Joanne (Jack) Bailey; two foster children, Daniel (Karen) Hirst and Dale Hirst;  a brother, David (Diane) Babcock; two sisters, Miriam McNeilly and Betty Cover;  two grandchildren, Amanda (Doug) Robinson and Nick Bailey; two great-grandchildren, Jaxton Bailey and Grant Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.  She was also survived by "Charlie" her beloved bird (a Conure) who was 24 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Susan Babcock; her husband, Joseph Tucker; and her siblings, Marilyn Babcock and Thomas Babcock.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30pm on Sunday December 19, 2021 at Covenant United Methodist Church, 3701 South Clyde Morris Boulevard, Port Orange, Florida 32129.

Memorial Donations may be made in her memory to The Council on Aging of Volusia, 420 Fentress Boulevard, Florida 32114.

Doris was the most loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all.
