Doris E Fritsch age 91 of Ormond Beach widow of the Reverend Frederick L. Fritsch passed on to be with her Lord on Wednesday December 31 2008 at the Avante Nursing Home in Ormond Beach.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday January 6 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ormond Beach with the Reverend Virginia Barnes officiating. A Visitation will be held 6 to 8 PM Monday January 5 2009 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.

Mrs Fritsch was born November 1 1917 in Hagerstown MD. Doris led a full life working as a social worker in Western Maryland before marrying a Lutheran pastor and sharing his ministry in suburban Philadelphia for 42 years. Doris graduated from Gettysburg College in its first co-ed class. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible School to 6th grade students and led many women's groups. Along with her husband she led groups on tour to the Holy Land Europe the Caribbean Hawaii Australia & Russia. Upon her husband's retirement in 1982 they moved to Ormond Beach from Philadelphia. Doris was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church Ormond Beach FL.

She is survived by her daughter Marna Etner & son Robert Fritsch both of Ormond Beach son David Fritsch of Upper Darby PA; 3 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.
