Dorian (Davis) Hancock of Deland FL age 71 died at home peacefully on September 17 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor Sunday September 29 2013. Family will welcome guests at 1:00 PM for the Service held at 2:00 PM at the Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange Location 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange FL 32127.
She was born in Miami FL on November 16 1941 to Alton and Martha Davis of Homestead. She graduated from South Dade high school and several years later received her Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling. She had 35 years of teaching experience in Orlando FL before retiring in 1998. Dorian was widowed in 1968 when William Tylor Hancock was killed in Viet Nam. Her current surviving widower is Raymond Garvin Griffin from Deland FL. They shared 19 wonderful years together. She is survived by 1 sister-in- law Mary Davis; 1 stepson Scott Griffin; 1 niece Ilene Davis; and 2 wonderful granddaughters.
