Donald W. Richardson, 80 of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. He was born November 26, 1935 in Ogdensburg, New York to Ernest and Evelyn (Gibbs) Richardson. Don had a very successful career as certified Registered nurse anesthetist. A career he served proudly for over 50 years. He served in that capacity at Memorial Hospital, Ormond Beach and Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, he attended Lancaster College, earned his nursing degree from St. Lawrence State Hospital School of Nursing in New York, went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Mercy College and completed his education with a Master's Degree from Nova University. Don in his earlier years earned his pilot's license, he enjoyed flying, boating, and traveling in his motor home. Mostly he loved being home and spending time with his family. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Peter Joseph Richardson in 2010. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Frances "Franny" (Daly) Richardson, Ormond Beach, by his children, Kimberly Lemke and her husband Michael of Ogdensburg, New York, by Debra McLean and her husband David of Atlanta, Georgia, by Sandra Richardson-Coon and her husband, Terrance of Kinderhook, New York, by Donald Richardson II of Las Vegas, Nevada, and by William Ernest Richardson of Orlando, Florida. Don is also survived by four grandsons, Bryan Monahan, Gregory McLean, Jonathan McLean, and Cory Monahan, two granddaughters, Kristin McLean, and Kayla Monahan, as well as two great-granddaughters. Service of Remembrance will be celebrated on Saturday August 6th at 2:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon.
