Donald E. Rader age 82 of Port Orange peacefully from his home went to be with Our Lord on Independence Day July 4 2010 A funeral mass in his honor will be held on Friday July 09 2010; 8:30 AM at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 South Clyde Morris Boulevard Port Orange FL. Fr. O'Leary officiating followed by an interment at Daytona Memorial Park. Visitation and viewing will be held Thursday July 08 2010; 5:00-7:00 PM at the Port Orange Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home. Donald was born in Indianapolis Indiana to Quincie and Grace Rader He was a proud US Navy veteran of WWII member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and devoted husband father grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a strong hardworking gentlemen who dedicated his life to his sons he was the football coach Boy Scout leader and taught them the trade of carpentry. He was an entrepreneur first as the chief building inspector of Port Orange in carpentry and lastly as a furniture maker who enjoyed the outdoors and a great race fan. His parents a brother and 2 sisters preceded him in death. And he leaves behind to cherish his memory his broken hearted wife Marie; four sons Rick Ron Bob and Rusty Rader; and a brother Richard Rader.
