Donald Ray Pope, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 5, 1949, in Miami, Florida, to the late Rever Ray Pope and Eva Lee Threadgill.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Don served with distinction during the Vietnam War, completing two tours of duty. His courage, loyalty, and dedication to his country remained a source of pride throughout his life. Those who knew him will remember him as a man of integrity, honor, and profound faith.
After retiring from Eastern Airlines, Don enjoyed fishing, painting, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Ninoska; his three children, Christine (Chris) Findley, Jennifer (William) Peake, and John Pope; and his treasured grandchildren, Madison, Eva, and Ella. He cherished his role as husband, father, and grandfather, and his family will forever remember his steady presence, wisdom, and unconditional love.
Donald's life was marked by honor, service, and devotion to his family.
There will be a visitation on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona located at 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM at the funeral home immdiately followed by a reception.
