Donald S. Pagano

1932 ~ 2021

Donald Salvatore Pagano, of Daytona Beach Florida, passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2021.
Don was born in Stamford Connecticut on September 6, 1932 to Samuel and Frances Pagano.
He served his country in the U.S. Army (2 years active duty and 6 years reserve as a 1st Lieutenant).
Don received his BS in Public Administration from the University of Florida and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity (Go Gators). He worked for the State of Florida, Department of Labor and Employment Security for 30 years. Thereafter, he enjoyed working for FEMA for 15 years providing disaster relief assistance across the country. He was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church for 57 years.
He was a coach of football, basketball, baseball and softball. His hobbies included gardening, especially his tomatoes, golfing, bowling, reading, painting/art, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren, great granddaughters, family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Catherine, his children Debbie Eiford (Dave) of Port Orange, Ron Pagano (Brenda) of Oak Hill, Patti Moyer (Kevin) of Port Orange and step daughter Nancy Aruscavage (Joe) of Salt Lake City, UT; brother Sam Pagano (Lucy) of Ocala; six grandchildren, T.J. Sellers of Port Orange, Shannon Cammack (Brandon) of Port Orange, Marlo Waddle (Brandon) of Edgewater, Matthew Pagano of South Daytona, Garrett Moyer (CJ) of West Melbourne, Dillon Moyer of Ormond Beach and Laila Aruscavage of Salt Lake City; great grandchildren Callie and Caden Cammack of Port Orange and was expecting his third great granddaughter, Audrey (Garrett and CJ) in December. He had nephews and nieces on both the Clerk and Pagano sides of the family.
Don was predeceased by Barbara Clerk Pagano (married 46 years) and by his parents.
Visitation at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, Florida will be Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at Epiphany Catholic Church, 201 Lafayette St., Port Orange, Florida on Wednesday Nov. 10, 2021 at 11 a.m. with interment immediately after mass at Woodland Cemetery behind Epiphany.
