Myers Donald Don A. Capt. USMC-Ret. passed away July 29th in Ormond Beach. Don was born on August 12 1926 in New Orleans Louisiana. After serving his country for more than 21 years in the United States Marine Corps he retired at the rank of Captain. During Don?s military career he served in the 5th Marine Division at Iwo Jima in World War II and in the Korean War. Don retired to central Florida with his wife Milmar S. Myers and four children in 1965 where he continued to serve his community as President of the Lyons Club in 1970 and again in 1971 as well as President of the Florida Pest Control Association in 1979. Mil predeceased Don on August 11 2002. He is survived by his children James S. Myers Barbara Myers Cowherd and her husband Ray Cowherd Donald A. Myers Jr. and his wife Debbie Myers Debra J. Myers-Adams and her husband Mike Adams 11 grandchildren six great-grandchildren and his sister Jeanne Neil Boe all of whom are grateful for his guidance wisdom love and affection. Funeral services celebrating Don?s life will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington VA.
