Korean War Veteran Donald Gleason Sr. of Ormond Beach Florida formerly of Bayport New York, passed away quietly at the age of 88 on February 25th 2022. Donald joined the Army in 1954 and married his High School sweetheart, Muriel, shortly after. He proudly served two years in Korea and Japan before coming home in 1956. He started working as a machinist and later started his own tool and die business. In 2004 Don and Muriel retired and moved from Bayport, New York to Ormond Beach, Florida.

Donald loved spending time with his family, enjoyed boating, fishing and a good joke. He is survived by his wife Muriel of 65 years, the love of his life. They had four sons, Donald (Mary Kay) Christopher (Steven Davis), Edward (Elizabeth) and the late Timothy (Laura). Grandfather to Jennifer McKeighan, Amy Gleason, Kaitlyn Quinn, and Michael Gleason. Great grandfather to Piper McKeighan and Makenna Quinn.

Visitation with the family will be held on March 2, 2022 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home 733 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, with a funeral service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will take place at 10:00am on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Volusia Memorial Park Cemetery, also in Ormond Beach.
