Donald G. Ellis, 89, of Ormond Beach, passed away on January 27, 2016 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach. A Visitation will be held from 10am til 12pm on Saturday February 13, 2016 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. The Funeral Service will be held at 12pm on Saturday February 13, 2016 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Volusia Memorial Park.

Donald was born on August 9, 1926 in Jamestown, NY to Wilber and Harriet Ellis. As a young man he served as a Volusia County Lifeguard. He retired after 35 years of service as a Foreman with FPL. Donald was also a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII and the Korea War.
He enjoyed working in the yard, the outdoors, and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joan; Three Daughters, Pamela (Mark) Strama of Palm Coast, Wendy (Kelly) White of Port Orange and Dawnette (John) Mullen of Pierson; Son, Marcus (Jeannean) Ellis of Ormond Beach; Six Grandchildren and Two Great-Grandchildren.

Memorial Donations in his memory may be made to The Disabled American Veterans.
